Review of MIS requirements within the Administration Group of a restructured Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA)

Project Objectives:

To review the existing policies and procedures, suggest changes and process re-engineering to ensure the deployment of an efficient MIS capacity of the PMA and to prepare all necessary documentation for the management, procurement and installation of a tailor made MIS system within the Administrative Group of a restructured Palestinian Monetary Authority. The main components of the management information system (MIS) are:

  • Information systems and technology policies procedures covering the acquisition, installation, and use of technology and related applications, security systems, access criteria, internal controls, disaster recovery and system development planning.
  • A financial management system that covers the management and control of the PMA’s financial resources and all funds under its management including a modern accounting system, budgeting, reporting and internal audit.
  • The management of human resources including implementation of policies and procedures on recruitment, promotion, staff development, performance evaluation, compensation, and separation, as well on grievances and ethical standards.
  • The process of decision making by the Governor, the Board and its committees and systems and procedures for effective implementation of these decisions.
